Inuyasha - Inuyasha is a very strong and very impatient half-demon. He appears to be in his late teens but is at least 50 years older than that. Kikyo sealed him to a tree with a magick arrow after he stole Shikon no Tama so he could become a full demon. 50 years later kagome was being attacked by lady centipede and she freed inuyasha from the tree. He killed the demon but then tried to kill her and take back shikon no tama. But then the priestess threw a magick necklace around his neck so whenever kagome says 'sit' it drags him to the ground. He has to go around the world with kagome and collect the shards of shikon no tama so other demons can use them to become all-powerful. Kagome - Kagome is your avg. 16 student. Except that on her 16th birthday she fell into her well and climbed out in ancient japan. Her being there woke inuyasha up from a 50 year sleep. Some of the villagers found her and took her to the priestess because they thought she was a demon. The priestess found not only was she not a demon she was the reincarnation of kikyo. That night a centipede demon, who was the reason she fell in the well in the first place, was attacking the city looking for skokon no tama (which was in kagome's side). She got it to follow her out to the tree where inuyasha was and had to free him so the centipede wouldn't kill her, but inuyasha threatened to kill her if she didn't giv him the jewl. But the priestess cast a necklace around him so when she says 'sit' it drags him to the ground. Then when the jewl got shattered she has to go with him because she is the only one with the 'sight' (meaning she can see stuff noone else can. Kaede - Kaede is kikyo's little sister and the village priestess. Her job is to protect the people from demons and heal the people who ask for help. She's the 'advisor' so to speak in the hunt for the jewl shards and sometimes in the two hunters' relationship. She sees kagome as a replacement for kikyo and sometimes as a daughter. She sees Inuyasha as a little brother that sometimes needs repremand for his behavior. Kikyo - Was the priestess before her little sister kaede. It was her job to protect the village and the shikon no tama from demons. She didn't kill inuyasha the first time they met because they were very much alike, he was a hakfling and therefore didn't fit in anywhere and she was priestess so she was required to be alone. She soon wanted to just live a normal life with inuyasha. He agreed to use it to become human, but before he could naraku made her believe inuyasha betrayed her to use the jewl to become a full demon and she sealed him to the tree with an arrow. She then asked to be cremated with the shikon no tama so no demons could use it and died. Shippo - A child fox demon whose father was killed by the thunder brothers. He can, for a short period of time, transform into almost anything. He also uses magical items to trick his enemies long enough for him to escape from trouble. Seeking revenge against the thunder brothers, he stole the shikon shards from kagome & inuyasha and later gave them back after they were dead. He was the first one that joined them on their quest for the shards. Sango - One of the best fighters from her village, her weapon is an oversized (to say the least) boomerang. Naraku took control of her brother's mind and forced him to attack her and her family, killing them and wounding her. Naraku made demons distroy her village and now she travells with inuyasha and kagome. Kirara - Companion of sango, this two tailed cat can turn into a huge saber-toothed cat that has the ability to fly. She is very protective of sango and the rest of the people she travells with, and is much older and more powerful than she appears at first glance. Kouga - A wolf demon and a pack leader, he is inuyasha's rival in everything (including kagome's affection, but he's starting to realize that against inuyasha he doesnt stand a chance (but then again, who would? XD)). He has a shikon shard in each leg allowing him to run fast and deliver powerful kicks. Two of his pack members are Ginta and Hakkaku. Miroku - Miroku is a buddhist priest. Miroku and his family was cursed by naraku, the curse opens up a void in his right hand which will eventually grow so large the prayer beads he uses won't be able to contain it and he will be consumed by it. This is why he is so crazy about women, he is childless and needs a son to continue the battle against naraku should he fail. Naraku - Naraku is the demon that placed the curse on miroku's family, caused kikyo to betray inuyasha, and who took control of sango's little brother, causing him to kill her family. He uses mind cintrolled people and demons to do his 'dirty work' so he won't have to reveal himself to his enemies. When he does go out he wears the skin of a baboon. He wants shikon no tama to become the most powerful being in existance. Sesshomaru - Sesshomaru is inuyasha's brother, but unlike inuyasha he is a full blooded demon. The sword he uses is called tensaiga, he also has the ability to call forth an energy whip from his hand. He is the lord of the western lands and doesn't like humans except for a girl named rin who he cares for. He has the ability to turn into a dog demon form where his bite is deadly and his spit is acid. He wants to kill inuyasha and take the tetsaiga which will give him the power to kill a hundred demons with a single stroke. |
